During the cold winter months, nothing is better than cozying up to a nice Christmas movie. Elf with Will Ferrell is the perfect movie to cozy up and laugh at. From the silly opening credits, to the heart-warming resolution, this is the best holiday movie to watch this season.
With the inviting puffin getting squished by the book in the opening credits, to Buddy falling asleep in a store window display, the movie is filled with smiles and laughter. It is a feel-good movie with multiple plot lines including love, reunion, and finding true happiness.
When Buddy found his dad for the first time, he had to go through many hardships. Buddy was yearning for acceptance with all his quirks, as he is a human elf, and he had to give up his own home to find his true home. The connection between Buddy and his new brother, Micheal, is so wholesome and makes me believe that everyone has true family support somewhere.
This movie is extremely complex within the plot, but still manages to be lighthearted. This is the perfect family movie to watch on a cold and snowy Friday. Every Christmas season, me and my mom watch this movie at least once. The movie is so funny that we sometimes watch it multiple times during the winter season.
During this Christmas season, Elf is a perfect movie to unite a family at holiday gatherings for a good laugh. The wholesome story line and the family friendly jokes allows this to be one of the greatest Christmas movies to watch during this holiday season.
