The yearly Game Awards was on the 11th of December and it was one of the most memorable ones.
RECAP:
On The Game Awards night we had a lot of new games mentioned coming out in the future as usual but this time there were some good and bad ones. Most announced games had positive reactions not much negative reactions. We got another cameo with the muppets, mainly featuring Mrs. Piggy and Rowlf the Dog. This year we had 172 million viewers on The Game Awards, that’s more than the superbowl! Onto our winners of the 2025 game awards!!!

Final Overview:
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 or Expedition 33 for short takes home 9 total wins which is the most in The Game Awards history! It is a strong favorite everywhere. Besides the domination from Expedition 33 we had other things such as the funny song Rowlf the dog and Mrs Piggy sang, they sang about The Game Awards in a song called “The Game Awards will never let you down”. We got some new announcements like new games such as a new classic style mega man game and a controversial hero shooter game called “highguard”. The community’s reactions were pretty mixed. A lot of people didn’t like how Expedition 33 won 9 awards and stole the show but on the other hand a lot of people were happy that the well deserved game got the love it deserved. Overall The Game Awards 2025 made The Game Awards history with the masterpiece of Expedition 33 winning 9 awards but this also left some people mad at The Game Awards and Expedition 33 for its many victories. We can only wait until The Game Awards 2026 and see how these newer titles can compete.
