Both boys and girls basketball seasons have ended after both teams lost in the elite 8.
Girls basketball faced Whitman-Hanson on Friday night for what was a tough matchup. Whitman-Hanson had lost just 2 games all season, with one of those losses at the hands of OA. Whitman-Hanson opened the game hot but OA quickly settled in. It was a battle all game long and it came down to the wire. Whitman-Hanson was able to escape with a 51-47 win.
Boys basketball traveled to Springfield for their elite 8 matchup against Pope Francis. Pope Franics was another tough team. OA was able to hang in all game long, but Pope Francis pulled away in the 4th quarter, beating OA 68-56.
