Last Sunday (3.22) at 6 p.m. senior assassin finally started. Seniors are laying low and changing their regular schedules to stay safe.
But are any of them truly safe?
The week has started with multiple altercations with people out already. Some students develop lengthy strategies. Others just don’t care.
“I’m going to figure out who has me right away, and then I’m just going to hide from them and get my person and not get caught and make it to the next week” Ben Fritz said early in the week. He’s already moved on to round 2.
There are 132 seniors in the game this year, though some are just there to help out others. Kayla Kenney is one of the seniors who runs the game. She helps put out posts and videos of people getting their targets, make rules, and assign people with others.
“So basically, I have like a spreadsheet and I have everyone who’s playing in alphabetical order and then I use like a wheel that’s numbered one through 132, which is how many people are playing. And then I go down alphabetical orders, spin the wheel, and whatever number it lands on corresponds with a person’s name and alphabetical order on the sheet, and then I just write them next to that person” said Kenney.
The very first day with people getting their targets. The first person that got out was Anthony Teixeira by Ava Darcy. As the first person to get out, many different emotions start to come out differently for others.
“I lowkey didn’t care I was mad I got crossed how I did,” Teixeira said.
The second person who got their target out was Sadie Gilson. Sadie was very strategic and had a little help to give her courage.
“I woke up really early and I feel like having somebody else there with me helps me because we were able to scope out the area before to find a good place to camp out,” said Gilson.
