For decades there has always been a feud between Starbucks and Dunkin with their refreshers and their coffees. One drink that has always had hype is their strawberry refreshers. At Dunkin it is called a Strawberry dragonfruit refresher and a medium goes for about 4 dollars. At Starbucks the tasty drink is called the Strawberry Acai refresher and a venti goes for about 7 dollars. I personally don’t have a good day unless I have a refresher in hand. When I am feeling like I want something to cool me down on a warm day, a Dunkin or Starbucks refresher is my go to.

Located in many different places around Easton, Starbucks is a food chain that went viral for their amazing strawberry acai refresher. They also can customize any drink you want to make it perfect for you! Starbucks is my personal favorite. I went to starbucks and their cozy music and vibe warmed my heart. I ordered the $7.00 venti strawberry acai refresher and a warmed grilled cheese. The refresher itself comes mixed with lemonade, lots of ice and freeze dried strawberries on the top. Personally I customized it to be made with water instead of lemonade, no inclusions and less ice to get more of the refresher base. This refresher is customized to perfection and it is the perfect after school cool down.

Any corner you turn in Easton most likely you will find a Dunkin Donuts. At Dunkin, everyone loves their tasty Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher. Just like Starbucks you can customize your drink to your needs. The refresher itself is made also with lots of ice, green tea, lemonade or water and the strawberry dragonfruit base. I ordered the 4.00 dollar medium strawberry dragonfruit refresher and I customized this refresher with less ice, more base and made with water because for me the lemonade is too sweet. To go with that I also ordered a bacon egg and cheese that is cooked to perfection. Dunkin is always a great choice for a cheap quick bite to get to feed your craving.

For both chains they both fill that craving for a sweet refreshing drink on a warm sunny day. Customizing these refreshers to whatever you want makes them similar while the price is what makes them different. For about the same size it is a 3 dollar difference. For a venti at starbucks it is 7 dollars while a medium at dunkin is around 4 dollars. Although this difference is huge, people still love both.

Personally I lean more towards the Starbucks strawberry acai refresher. Although it’s more expensive I feel that it tastes better and that the food is better. I like the vibe of the place more. I have definitely gotten a lot more schoolwork done there than I ever have at Dunkin. The workers there are nice and they love to write things on the cup to lift you up. Overall I would choose Starbucks over Dunkin because of their drinks, food and vibe.
