Girls Soccer Story
Jolie Diaz and Sienna Fabrizio both have been playing soccer for most of their life and that has always been one of their passions.
Jolie Diaz, a senior, is one of the two captains who is leading a really solid team overall with a new coach. The Oliver Ames Girls Soccer, 8-4-2 as of Oct. 23, scored some big wins over Foxborough, Attleboro, Norwell and Bridgewater-Raynham. They really meshed this season and are always on the same page for the most part. Sienna Fabrizio is a junior at Oliver Ames and she plays mostly on offense because she is one of the most aggressive players out of everyone. She always tries to put the ball in the net. She has a lot of goals for the team throughout the whole season.
“I feel like we are a good team but we just need to work on our shots to score the ball,” Sienna said.
The girls have a lot of chemistry and they all work together very well and they can just play with each other without any miscommunication. Jolie says the team this season has been playing extremely well Jolie says, and she thinks they have some great players that are still very young and they need to get a lot more reps and they could be a dangerous team.
“I would say our standouts are definitely Brooke (Dean), Sienna (Fabrizio) and Shelby (Hodges), but all of our players have contributed to different parts of our team this season,” she said.
Jolie says their goal for the end of the season is to win the Hockomock league and to win all of the games throughout the tournament. She wants her team to stay connected throughout the season and to always be on the same page.
They are in a rebuilding phase a little bit. Medfield was the hardest team they have faced this season and it was a non league game so it did not count for the Hockomock as they were ranked #1 in the Massachusetts ranking.
