Whether it’s shows, movies, or the latest song in their airpods, Oliver Ames students have many favorites when it comes to streaming.
For student Cam Butler, music is his main source of entertainment. Daniel Caesar and Frank Ocean were his top picks, as they both have a calm beat and relatable lyrics. However his love for music started early on and has been a part of his life and enjoyment since.
“I really really started listening to music when I started listening to Weezer,” he said.
Streaming isn’t just about music, though. Recently, sophomore Xaire Bodden has been spending his after school time watching the Maze Runner trilogies. He is hooked and recommends this to any high school student looking for a new movie.
“I love the plot twists and characters in the movie,” he said.
For senior Roman Hobkirk, it’s all about TV shows. Roman is a self proclaimed critic of TV series as he has watched numerous. He just finished Lost, but reflected on his first time watching it.
“I was on a ski trip with my friends, when all the lifts closed down, so we decided we should start a show. We watched like 10 episodes that day.”
From a calming song, to action packed trilogies or even a binge worthy TV series, OA students always find something to stream. It’s more than entertainment, it’s a break from their lives, a time to unwind and watch what captures their interest most.
