Each week, we ask the captains of one of OAs sports teams to recommend a teammate of the week, a player who has consistently contributed to the team but doesn’t always get the glory.
This week James Lindsay was named athlete of the week by his following captains, Sawyer Ferenandez, Sr, Jonah Bornstein, Sr, and Logan McAndrew, Jr.
All three of the captains had good things to say about James Lindsay.
Q: What has this person done to be teammate of the week?
A: “He’s had some big wins. He got a huge win over Canton at our last meet. He does whatever the coaches ask, whatever the captain’s asking, and overall he’s willing to put in the work to be better,” McAndrew said.
Q: How has this person shown how to be a team player?
A:”Lindsay himself has proven to be a team player. He’s there cheering on his teammates and he knows when it’s time to tell them to lock it. I hear Lindsay commanding more than half of these guys,” Ferenadez said.
Q: In what way can James continue to be a good teammate?
A:”To keep doing what he’s doing. He’s always making weight, always doing what he has to, and goes out and tries his best. So just for him to keep up the good work,” Bornstein said.
