Each week, we ask the captains of one of OAs sports teams to recommend a teammate of the week, a player who has consistently contributed to the team but doesn’t always get the glory.
This week, girls swim team captain Eden Clewer has named Cait Gallant teammate of the week.
Q: What has this person done to be teammate of the week?
A: “Cait always shows up to practice ready to swim, takes corrections from our coaches well, and applies them. At Hockomock Championships last Saturday, Cait scored the most points out of any girl and really helped us place high in the Hock.”
Q: How has this person shown to be a team player?
A: “She has shown that she is a team player by always uplifting others and remaining positive. Regardless of the race someone had, Cait is always the first to congratulate or affirm them.”
Q: In what ways can this person continue to be a good teammate?
A: “Cait can continue to be a good teammate by remaining positive and giving her best effort as she competes in sectionals and states, which she has already been doing.”
