This year’s Winter Olympics had many well known stars open wearing the stylish trends of this winter season. Mariah Carey opened the ceremony with a performance of “Volare” and “Nothing Is Impossible,” wearing a white and silver dress designed by Fausto Puglisi and Andrea Bocelli performed “Nessun Dorma” as the Olympic flame was carried into the San Siro stadium wearing a vivid blue suit designed by Massimo Cantini Parrini.
Mariah Carey wore a custom designed full-tilt italian gown with over 300 carats of emerald cut diamonds. Her glamorous satin gown showcased a mermaid style cut with white and silver reflecting light. This magical dress paid homage to the Italian lights and culture. So much thought was put into this sparkling dress in order to complete the well-known pop star’s outfit for the night. Vogue.com said that Mariah’s dress was intricately styled and glamorous.

“Given the grand occasion, Carey’s styling was no less carefully considered. In an homage to the Games’ northern Italian setting, she went all-in on Italian glamour for the night, donning a custom Roberto Cavalli dress designed by Fausto Puglisi.”
Andrea Bocelli’s custom designer suit started being prepared in August of 2025 by designer Massimo Cantini Parrini. This suit was created to showcase the ceremony’s focus on Italian heritage. The armani design showcases elegance, high quality and tailored materials. This key performance from the incredible Andrea Bocelli was drastically enhanced by the styling of the artist and the presence of italian homage.
