Spring is right around the corner which also means prom is coming up! Everyone is so excited for this fun day, but everyone has been asking: Where is our prom taking place? How do we pick out these places?

This year the senior’s prom is taking place at Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, MA. Mr. Ring, senior class advisor, has helped pick this venue. Whenever it comes to picking venues there are many factors that come into play. 

Mr. Ring mentioned the Venue rental fee, the capacity amount, distance from Easton, and availability. 

Not everything online will match up to your standards. So when it comes to picking a place you also need to see what it’s like and how you like the atmosphere.

“I actually was not there on the day we toured the venue, but after looking through several options, the class officers toured this venue and really loved it. Ultimately, it comes down to what the students want!”

For prom we all wonder how the venues get narrowed down to one. People who partake in these decisions are usually the class officers and advisors. They will reach out to other grades to see what venues have been used and ask what their experience was. 

“We don’t have a list of venues, so the class officers and advisors will do a lot of their own research, reach out to other classes for advice, and then make their decision based on all of that information.”

Not only is senior prom happening but also junior prom! This year junior prom is taking place at Avenir in Walpole. The junior class advisors are Mrs. Bailey and Ms. Fleming.
