On May 10th, 2026 Spotify released a new review for all users to see. In celebration of their 20th anniversary, Spotify dropped the “Spotify 20: Party of Your Year(s)”. This addition allows users to see many things about their Spotify life including the first song they listened to, the date that they joined, your all time top artist, and how many songs they’ve listened to over the years. Another captivating feature of the Party of Your Year(s) is the specially curated playlist that comes with it. This playlist is filled with all users’ top 120 most listened to songs, with the amount of listens attached for each one.
This update allows for people that really enjoy their music to gain a deeper understanding of what their listening tendencies actually are. Mr. Schussler, a massive music fan, was very happy that Spotify provided this avenue for music lovers to utilize.
“I liked the little slideshow, it’s kinda cool. Obviously, it’s like uh, I think they get a lot of positive feedback from the Wrapped. And so they were trying to find a way to sort of inject some of that sort of flow into the middle of the year. It also being their 20th anniversary worked in their favor. The slideshow is cool. It’s very short and simple, but what I do love is like, I’ve always wanted Spotify to be able to create for me a list of the songs that I listen to the most. So I find the fact that I can now have a list, mine is eight hours long. And it’s arranged by how many times I listened to each song. I think that’s absolutely cool,” Schussler explained. “It’s something I’ve wanted them to do for a long time. I’ve put that playlist right into my thing and it’s all I’ve been listening to. And I like that if I want to know how much I’ve listened to a song, I can just open the playlist and boom there it is.”
Another positive thing that the update has brought is it allows people to recall memories from their past where certain songs played a key role.
“My most listened to song is ‘I’m Good’ by the Mowgli’s. It’s a song when my daughters were little we were obsessed with, so we used to play it all the time. It’s a very positive, happy song. I got 297 listens on that” Schussler recalled.
For some people however, their stats may be tainted due to sharing their account with different people. This is the case for junior Sam Litwin.
“Uh, y’know, my dad had the account before me. And my sister used it a lot so all the songs that are at the top are more from them then than are me. But I think it’s pretty cool that they did this. I like how it was set up. I liked the presentation of it with the slideshow and stuff. My most streamed song was Habits by Tove Lo, which was from my family, not me” Litwin explained.
