The wait is over, and it has now been confirmed that the class of 2027 will be given the ability to buy and decorate a parking spot in the front lot for their senior year!

The confirmed price for a spot will be $100, which is truly not a lot of money if you do the math. The student council is trying to make it possible for seniors to park near their friends. 

“We will be sending out an interest form soon” said Vice President Kayla Isleib, “Then, once all data is received, we will send out the following form to assess where people want to park.”

Not only is this a great way to bring the class together before their final year of high school, but it will also be a fantastic way to raise money for the class. Senior year is expensive, with lots of exciting activities to look forward to, and purchasing this spot could save you money in the future.

“I am really excited to see all the students in our grade express themselves with their paintings” said Isleib, “I am also super excited about all the revenue our class will see!”

Most rising seniors are super excited about this opportunity to own and decorate their own spot. This prevents the issue of people stealing parking spots and also provides a super fun bonding activity for the new senior class.

“I think that’s great, I think it’s going to be fun painting all the spots.” said Eduardo Nasser, “You know I’m going to have the V (vehicle) by next year so…”

 However, some people do not want the financial commitment to this spot as they can just park elsewhere for free. 

‘I think a lot of people are going to do it, I just think personally I’m not going to do it because I don’t want to spend $100 on a parking spot.” said Jackie Solimine, “I don’t really care about painting them”
