Tiger Daily is the new and improved news site written by us, the students of OA. We all took an interest in journalism, and are looking to put this interest to good use. As much as this paper is written by 14 students in an F block journalism class, it’s also yours.

Tiger Daily is by the students, for the students, and we can’t wait to get started!

Our mission statement, written by us, reads as follows: Tiger Daily is the student-run newspaper of Oliver Ames High School. We strive to offer timely, accurate, and professional news to our community with the purpose of providing the student body a space to amplify their voice.

We are so excited to utilize this space and opportunity to keep the members of our OA community educated about what is going on around their school, as well as to offer entertaining stories with student opinions to ensure voices are heard.

As editors, it is our job to lead and run the paper guided by our mission statement. We hope to grow Tiger Daily throughout the year and produce at least one new piece of content every day. Ryann MacKinlay, Editor-in-Chief

Editor-in-Chief of Tiger Daily, Ryann MacKinlay, ‘27, is excited by the challenge of being this year’s EIC. Outside of school, Ryann plays softball at a competitive level and enjoys spending her free time with her friends and family. Taking on this role as a junior, Ryann’s goal is to build Tiger Daily up through her next two years. She is looking forward to leading and guiding her classmates as they navigate these unknown waters.

Isabelle Gauthier, Features Editor

Isabelle Gauthier, ‘26, is a very passionate features editor for this year’s Tiger Daily. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, writing, and visiting book stores. She started to gain interest in writing and reading in her sophomore year and that led her to dive into her passion of writing in her junior and senior year.

Nicholas Hall

Nicholas Hall, ‘27, is the photo editor and a writer for Tiger Daily. He is on the football and track teams for Oliver Ames and is an avid sports fan. He enjoys spending time with friends, lifting, and watching movies and shows in his free time.

Nick Poulos, Sports Editor

Nick Poulos, ‘26, is the sports editor for Tiger Daily. He is an avid Boston sports fan who loves going to the Ninety-Nine restaurant with his friends and playing pickle ball. Nick is a sports writer because he is always talking about sports and despite his love for Boston sports, never stops talking about his passion for the Dallas Cowboys. He also always listens to 98.5 The Sports Hub.
